ANAI is a Costa Rican non-profit organization founded in 1983, committed to furthering local initiatives that simultaneously contribute to the quality of life of local people and to biodiversity conservation in high priority tropical areas. It is geographically grounded in the Talamanca region of Costa Rica.

Talamanca is making a contribution to biodiversity conservation far beyond its borders, and ANAI is demonstrating the significant effect that an experienced, creative and dedicated group can have in a strategically important region such as Talamanca.
